Loading and unloading help
Maybe the truck is already booked, or a pod is parked in your driveway, and all that is missing is the labor to fill it. Hire our W-2 crew by the hour and we load or unload your rental truck, pod, or shipping container quickly without cutting corners. You keep the wheel and the storage; we take the heavy lifting.
What the crew handles
Packing a rental so it rides right comes down to a handful of rules, and our movers turn up with the dollies, straps, pads, and the practice to apply them. All we need from you is the vehicle itself.
- Bulky boxy items go on first, the weight set over the axle for a steady haul
- Every piece padded and tied down so nothing shifts on I-90 or over the passes
- At the far end, carried up out of a daylight basement or across a Green Bluff porch
- Every piece landed in the right room, with runners laid and doorframes guarded to protect your deposit
- A storage unit stacked clever enough to swallow the whole load
We tier and tie it so your dresser is not riding on the lamps halfway up the Fourth of July Pass. When a crew that loads trucks every day stacks yours, it goes in tighter and comes out quicker than any rush job ever could.
Who books us
The usual caller has a rented truck or a pod and needs hands at one or both ends. Some are self-driving and want nothing to do with the long South Hill basement stairs; others have a Valley pod to pack tight for the winter passes. A good share of jobs are a single end only, loading or unloading by itself.
Hourly, the clock run straight
How the hours work
Billing is by the hour, $120/hr for two movers, on a two-hour minimum. You get a straight estimate of the hours before a single box is lifted, and the clock does not start until the crew is actually on the job, never from the moment a truck pulls out of our yard. We do not inflate the count.
Loaded to ride safe
While we carry, runners go down and doorframes get padded so your old place keeps its deposit. Same Pettinger crew, same care as a full move, just narrowed to the one piece of it you actually want a hand with.
