Newman Lake Movers
Twenty miles east near the Idaho line, Newman Lake is a tight-knit lake community — waterfront cabins and year-round homes on steep lots down to the water, acreage on the hills above, and narrow lake lanes throughout. We have hauled this lakeshore since Dave started the company in 2010.
“Newman Lake is steep lots and skinny lanes. We scout it first and bring the truck that actually fits the road.” — Greg Pettinger, operations
The homes we load here
The work is waterfront and hillside: lake cabins on steep lots and acreage homes above. Sara Pettinger sizes the inventory ahead.

Getting the truck to the door
The lake is the technical part — steep lots, long stairs to the dock, and narrow lanes that won’t take a full rig.
| Obstacle | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| Steep waterfront lot | Long carries down to the dock-side door, worked in pairs and level |
| Narrow lake lane | Greg Pettinger scouts it and we shuttle in a smaller truck when a full rig won’t fit |
| Cabin loft and walkout | Steep stairs Brett Lawson works the upright and the heavy pieces down by hand |
What you can count on
One flat rate in writing, our own trucks, our own crews — never a broker.
Ice on the lake grades
The steep lots down to Newman Lake glaze over in a hard freeze, and Megan Pettinger can hold the load in climate-controlled storage if a cabin closing slips. We’ll move a date before working a loaded dolly down an iced grade to the water.
- Steep lake-lot carries worked in pairs and level
- Narrow lanes shuttled with a truck cut to the road
- Uprights and heavy pieces eased down cabin loft stairs by Brett
- Between-closing storage at $130 to $340 a month
