Part of what we hold comes directly from your hands. When you fill in the form or simply talk the move through with our office, you hand over a name, a phone number, an email, both addresses, the date you’re eyeing, and the particulars any Inland Northwest job needs to be priced right — the number of staircases, the pitch of the gravel driveway, whether a Kendall Yards or downtown building wants a COI, whether a piano or a gun safe is on the load, whether a long closing needs climate-controlled storage to span it.
What gets logged on its own
The remainder is captured in the background, asking nothing of you. The moment a page loads, the site jots down a handful of routine technical items: which IP address connected, the device and browser doing the connecting, and which pages got viewed. Holding that log is one of the things that keeps the site running steadily and safely.
Why any of it is held
None of it gets stockpiled for its own sake; each field has to earn its keep. And here’s one thing we’d sooner say outright than dance around: nothing crossing the internet is ever perfectly secure, and any claim otherwise would be a lie.
Where it travels beyond our office
Past our own office and crew, your information reaches an outside party only where genuinely wrapping up the move calls for it — a card processor when a payment runs, our insurer should a claim or coverage question come up, or a building manager, HOA, or front desk that won’t let the truck in without the documents. Beyond those necessary hand-offs — and beyond anything a court order or the law forces — the information never leaves us. We will not sell it, we will not rent it, and we will not trade it to a single soul, full stop.
Cookies and what the analytics show
Ours is like most websites out there: it drops cookies and uses analytics. What that gives us is a bird’s-eye view — never a single person’s trail — of the paths people follow across the pages and where the site could work better.
